Spearheaded the structural vetting and third-party peer review for two landmark high-rise projects:\"Sahej Signature, Bhubaneswar\"(G+43) and \"Ashtech Group Housing, Noida\"(G+30), ensuring design integrity and safety.Executed a meticulous review and validation of the ETABS models, rigorously checking geometry, load applications, member properties, and the accuracy of the final design outputs.Developed and implemented a detailed Excel-based calculation sheet to accurately determine gust wind pressures and their structural effects on the G+43 storey tower, ensuring precise load assessment beyond standard software outputs.Ensured the structural designs were in strict compliance with the latest code for tall buildings, IS 16700:2023 and other relevant Indian Standards verifying stability, load paths, and seismic performance parameters.Conducted in-depth analysis to identify and resolve key design issues, such as structural irregularities, weak storey, soft storey and load path discontinuities, proposing effective solutions to create a more robust and compliant final design.

ABOUT JAHID HASAN CHOUDHURY

I am an M.Tech student at IIT Roorkee specializing in Structural Engineering, with strong interests in performance-based seismic design of RCC and steel structures, tall buildings, and bridges.I have hands-on experience in ETABS, ABAQUS, MIDAS Civil, Hilti PROFIS, and MATLAB, working on both academic and real-world consulting-oriented projects. During my internship at IIT Roorkee, I contributed to third-party structural vetting of high-rise buildings up to G+43 storeys, validating ETABS models, developing wind load calculation tools, and ensuring compliance with IS 16700:2023 and seismic codes.My M.Tech thesis focuses on Seismic Behaviour and Analysis of Exposed Column Base Connections using finite modelling software Abaqus, supported by experimental validation. I have also gained industry exposure through internships at ONGC and Northeast Frontier Railway, strengthening my understanding of drawings, estimation, and infrastructure systems.
