Jahan Aara, is a Chartered Accountant by profession with 24+ years of working experience, of which 17+ years come from corporate experience in the domain of Reinsurance, Insurance, Auditing, Compliance and BPO-Operations. She has leveraged her entrepreneurial ability and skills in translating corporate vision, to overcome complex business challenges and deliver on high-impact decisions. Jahan, has been a key member of the team that institutionalized business transformations, control processes and systems for enhancing the overall business operations of various organizations. She has demonstrated excellence in handling some of the premier multi-national clients belonging to diverse functional areas. She is an enterprising leader with a proven track record of contributions that streamlined operations & enhanced internal controls.Jahan completed her 3 years of articleship training at Deloitte Haskins and Sells. During her 14 years in the Corporate world, she has worked for companies like Accenture, Unisys, AIG and Swiss Re. In her previous roles, she has been a Financial Controller of western European countries of an Insurance giant and a Vice President heading the Transition Accounting Services. At TSMT Consulting Pvt. Ltd. Jahan headed the Accounting, Reporting and Compliance (ARC) function which offers a plethora of services including book-keeping, outsourcing, virtual CFO support, statutory compliance relating to Professional Tax, Provident Fund, ESI, GST and other Corporate Law related matters. She will also be involved in assisting start-up businesses in their initial incorporation with extended accounting and reporting support to ensure sustainability.Jahan is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce. She is a Bangalorean and an alumni of Sophia High School and Mount Carmel College. She is a travel enthusiast.Jahan is also a Rotarian and the President (2021-22) and Charter Secretary (2020-21) of Rotary Bengaluru Lake World which focuses on lake rejuvenation, rain water harvesting and other community & vocational services to the society especially in rural areas. She also promotes the Menstrual Hygiene Management awareness program.
