About Jagruti Joshi

I am a Data Scientist with Circle K specializing in people analytics. I graduated in Aug 2020 with a Master of Science in Business Analytics from the University of Cincinnati. While pursuing my Master’s degree, I also simultaneously worked as a Graduate Assistant working on numerous Data science projects in transportation & and logistics, healthcare, hospitality & management domains with clients across the United States. These real-world project experiences complemented the classroom learning well thus enhancing my overall learning experience and eventually leading me to graduate with a perfect 4.0 GPA. My passion for Data Science work arose during the 3-year period I worked as a Data Analyst in India with 2 different fast-growing tech startups. I have end-to-end experience working with clients in eCommerce & Retail, Finance, Pest Control & Cleaning, Manufacturing, and Sports & Fitness domains. I\'ve also worked cross-functionally with multiple business functions such as HR, Finance & Accounting, Business Development, Sales & Digital Marketing, Operations, and Technology in many of my past projects. I learned and developed expertise in some of the most commonly used tools such as MS Excel and SQL (data wrangling, exploratory data analysis), VBA, Macros (automation), R, Python, SAS (data mining - regression models, classification models, time series forecasting models), Power BI, Tableau, MicroStrategy (data visualization, reporting, business intelligence), MS PowerPoint(presenting actionable insights to senior management) and Google Analytics (web analytics). I believe my diverse professional experiences along with my strong academics in business and engineering have prepared me well for the Data Scientist/ Data Analyst/ Data Engineer/ Business Analyst/Business Intelligence Engineer roles with any organization.
