ABOUT JAGANMOHAN VANGAPELLY

22 years of professional work experience in NGO’s and Education field. Currently, working as Chief Program Officer with Hyderabad Runners Society. 20 years in Greenpeace, started from Hyderabad and had worked in Mumbai, Chennai and currently based in Bangalore. 2 years in St. Garbrial school at Hyderabad teaching English and Science to the primary school students.• Successfully, managed operations of the Fundraising unit in Chennai which had 30 to 35 staff for 6 years. Fundraising approaches included, Face-to-Face, Lead generation and Corporates.• Successfully, established Learning & Development program for fundraising staff of Greenpeace India. These include design and delivery on Inductions, Refreshers and skill shares.• Lead a project of Environmental Educational work with schools called, “Green Warrior” program at Greenpeace for 1.5 years. Learnt to engage with educational institutes’ students, faculty and parents on Environmental Education through Online and Offline mobilization approaches.• Represented India during Greenpeace International fund raising programmes at Berlin, Paris, Amsterdam, Phillipines and Bangkok.• One of the important aspects of my work is to ensure while we are moving forward to achieve the objectives, we are also fulfilling the process in which the results are ideally expected. Some of the examples related to this are a) Volunteer initiatives by the team in Chennai with Greenpeace and other NGO’s b) Presentation to prospective donors which is not just information but also the emotional side and stress on how does the global environmental work connects to individuals.
