As a dedicated Clinical Psychologist and Psychotherapist, I have honed my skills through extensive training and practical experience in various therapeutic approaches. My work within a government facility has provided me with a unique perspective on the complexities of mental health, allowing me to support individuals from diverse backgrounds and with a wide range of psychological concerns. I specialize in conducting assessments, developing tailored treatment plans, and providing evidence-based interventions such as cognitive-behavioural therapy, transactional analysis, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) and mindfulness-based techniques. My passion lies in helping individuals manage and overcome challenges related to anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health conditions. In my current role as a Clinical Psychologist in the Tele MANAS department, I collaborate with interdisciplinary teams - District Mental Health Program (DMHP), Tamil Nadu Accident and Emergency Care Initiative (TAEI), Government Institute of Mental Health (IMH), Psychiatric Departments in Government Hospitals, Emergency Care and Recovery Centers (ECRC), District Early Intervention Centre (DEIC), Child Welfare Committee (CWC), District Differently Abled Welfare Officers, Tamil Nadu Government Observation Homes, Tamil Nadu Women Helpline Services, Tamil Nadu Legal Aid Helpline Services, Tamil Nadu Geriatric Helpline Services, Emergency Ambulance Services, Tamil Nadu Pre Natal and Post Natal Care Helpline Services, One Stop Crisis Centre (OSC), CM Cell, District Child Protection Officers (DCPO), Tamil Nadu Police Department to ensure comprehensive care, while continuously pursuing professional development to stay updated with the latest advancements in the field. I conduct thorough psychological assessments, utilizing a range of tools (e.g, WAIS, MMPI, ISAA, SCID) to gain a precise understanding of cognitive, emotional, and behavioral patterns, which then informs a tailored treatment plan.My heart lies in providing trauma-focussed and attachment-focused therapy. I blend effective approaches like Somatic Experiencing (SE), Transactional Analysis (TA), and Gestalt Therapy to address the intricate connections between thoughts, feelings, behaviors and bodily sensations.
