ABOUT JAMES LEE
I’m a mission-driven problem solver with six years of experience designing and scaling strategic initiatives across Asia—at the intersection of entrepreneurship, innovation policy, and social impact. At The Asia Foundation, I led multi-country teams, advised on market access and sustainable finance strategies, and developed high-stakes organizational pitches that influenced executive decisions. My work has supported over 300 entrepreneurs—particularly women and North Korean refugees—and secured millions in program funding. Alongside my program and policy experience, I’ve advised on impact measurement frameworks for development portfolios and benchmarked global indicators to evaluate investment effectiveness in healthcare ventures.Now at Yale SOM, I’m focused on strengthening my strategic and analytical toolkit through management consulting. In the long term, I hope to channel these skills into impact-aligned roles—whether in social finance, development consulting, or scaling entrepreneurship support ecosystems—to help organizations and individuals build lasting self-reliance.
