About Jael Charles
Jael Charles is a social justice advocate, public interest scholar, and graduate of Columbia University\'s School of Social Work. Prior to attending Columbia University, she completed a dual BA in Criminology and Sociology, with a minor in Human Development and Family Studies at the Pennsylvania State University. There, she began exploring systems of oppression and fostering social justice activism within her community. Jael\'s background includes working with individuals, children, and families impacted by incarceration, working with underrepresented youth, and facilitating the use of art as a method of advocacy. Jael ultimately hopes to dedicate her life and career to elevating the narratives of marginalized communities and to dismantling societal systems that perpetuate injustice.
