ABOUT JADRANKA STOJANOVSKA

I’m a physician-scientist, educator, and leader in cardiothoracic and cardiovascular imaging with a career that spans continents and disciplines — from my roots in North Macedonia to academic medicine in the U.S.As Director of the Cardiovascular MR Program at NYU Langone, I lead efforts to bring advanced cardiac imaging into daily clinical practice. I’m especially passionate about the role of CMR in metabolic disease, cardiac inflammation, and risk stratification — and I’ve led translational research on epicardial fat biology, cardiac strain, and noninvasive prognostication.I’ve had the honor of serving as Deputy Editor for Radiology: Cardiothoracic Imaging and as Associate Editor for Academic Radiology and British Journal of Radiology. In 2024, I served as Program Chair for the SCMR Annual Scientific Meeting — the largest and most inclusive in its history — and I continue to champion mentorship, diversity, and global outreach within the field.What drives me most is helping others grow — whether it’s training residents and fellows, designing international CMR workshops, or developing collaborative programs that bridge radiology and cardiology.
