Founded in 2013, the Ohio University Derivatives Management Group (DMG) is a student-run organization that manages a synthetic portfolio of swaps, options, and futures. The investment strategy is one that is short-term and tends to be event driven. The group will commonly implement unique hedging strategies in times of volatility to take advantage of moves in the underlying asset. We are able to utilize the Bloomberg Terminal and FactSet to find opportunities for investment pitches and conduct top-down analysis.
