I am a driven and resilient individual, currently navigating the exciting transition from foster care to academia and adulthood. As a Sophomore at Columbia University, I am honored to bring my passion for learning and my vibrant persona to the Ivy League community.Academically, my focus lies in the STEM field, where I thrive on acquiring knowledge and translating it into meaningful projects, experiments, and labs. My commitment to education is exemplified by my status as a Student-Athlete, with a strong emphasis on the \"student\" aspect. I am proud to be a part of the Columbia University football team, where I am poised to contribute both on and off the field.In addition to my scientific pursuits, I find solace and creativity in poetry, occasionally expressing my thoughts through written art. As I embark on this new chapter, my overarching goal is to merge my love for STEM with my passion for creativity, contributing to innovative solutions in the ever-evolving landscape of science and technology.I am deeply passionate about opportunity, particularly the idea of untapped potential due to disparities in wealth and access. A thought that has stayed with me throughout my life is,\"How many great minds are we losing because of these inequalities?\" My fascination with this issue is rooted in the story of the Tower of Babel—when people came together, they created something extraordinary. Though their efforts were eventually halted, the idea of people working in unity toward a common goal resonates deeply with me. I often wonder what the world could achieve if all great minds were given the chance to reach their full potential, regardless of their background.
