ABOUT JADE LEWIS

An experienced Chief Executive and high-profile advocate for a sustainable built environment with experience in the manufacturing, construction and energy sectors and an extensive, influential network of policymakers and industry stakeholders. A highly organised, diligent, and forward-thinking leader, who is self-motivated with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to deliver results.I have been Chief Executive of the Sustainable Energy Association (SEA), a member based industry body offering innovative policy solutions that link up building-level technologies and the wider energy system to achieve a low carbon, secure energy future for the UK, benefits for UK consumers, and commercial growth for businesses working in the sector. I previously spent 25 years within the world-leading construction product manufacturing business, Saint-Gobain, in roles spanning technical sales, project leadership, operations, quality management, and R&D, before taking a new direction into public affairs over 10 years ago with a secondment to the Government’s Department of Energy and Climate Change. Since then I have developed an expertise in advocacy, which entails proactively managing relationships with Government policymakers and key industry stakeholders, influencing policy and regulation to create a more sustainable built environment, enhancing reputation and understanding business opportunities, while minimising risk.
