As an intern with the DeKalb County Government Office of Youth Services, I support youth-centered programming that promotes sustainability, equity, and community engagement. A major focus of my work is the E.M.B.A.R.C. program, an environmental and agricultural initiative that introduces youth to careers in sustainability, food systems, and environmental justice. I assist with program planning, coordinate logistics, execute hands-on workshops and events, and manage volunteer support. I also collaborate with county commissioners, local partners, and community-aligned businesses to deliver accessible and impactful programming. Additionally, I help track similar initiatives across the community to inform and strengthen our efforts.
