ABOUT JADE L. RANGER

Dr. Jade L. Ranger is passionate about transforming the perception of community pharmacy through independent ownership. At The Prescription Shoppe, which she co-owns with her husband, they offer Point-of-Care testing and other clinical services, providing patients with a comprehensive approach to improving their health through medication therapy management and lifestyle modifications. The couple opened The Prescription Shoppe, a full-service pharmacy, in March 2019. In September 2023, they expanded by opening a second location—a closed-door long-term care pharmacy. Together, they continue to make a lasting impact in Williamsburg, VA by delivering patient-centered care and staying deeply engaged with their community. Recognized as a leader among her peers, Dr. Ranger is known for her advocacy on social justice issues and unwavering support of small businesses. She is an active member of several organizations, including the American Pharmacists Association, the Virginia Pharmacy Association—where she serves as Chair of the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee—and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. In addition to her professional achievements, Dr. Ranger is a published author of Mustard Seed Mentality and a monthly columnist for the Virginia Gazette. Her work has earned her numerous honors, including the 2022 Top Forty Under 40 by Hampton Roads Inside Business, induction into the 2022 class of Hampton University’s Forty Under 40 Alumni Recognition Society, and the prestigious 2024 Bowl of Hygeia award from the Virginia Pharmacy Association.
