Serving within the bp Digital Security (DS) function under the bp CISO, I report to the Product & Business Information Security team. My role entails supporting various divisions including Company Secretary (CSO), Global Business Services (GBS), Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), People and Culture (P&C), Legal, Ethics & Compliance, and Treasury. Responsibilities include advising on business risks, facilitating risk reduction initiatives, managing incidents both internal and third-party, and supporting cyber training and awareness programs as well as nudge activity.A significant aspect of my role involves engaging with business users and leaders to ensure cyber safety, outlining their responsibilities and processes to achieve secure, private, and compliant outcomes. Acting as a cyber safety customer success manager, my focus is on advising, facilitating discussions, and acting as a liaison between business units and various technology and second-line functions. This includes collaboration with internal audit and occasionally external audit and regulators to ensure alignment and compliance.
