WORK HISTORY
Sr Safety Specialist @Southwest Airlines
As a Sr. Safety Specialist, I deal with human factors and how they affect Maintenance Safety here at Southwest Airlines. In doing this, I conduct trend analysis to help identify any potential issues that may contribute to incidents, accidents and errors that are maintenance-related. Along these lines, I also teach a course titled \"Human Error Management\", to Maintenance personnel employed with Southwest Airlines. This course goes into detail about the 12 contributors in incidents, accidents and errors. These are known as \"The Dirty Dozen\". Issues such as A Lack of Communication, Complacency, A Lack of Assertiveness, Fatigue and Distraction are some of the human factors that can affect your safety at work and at play. It\'s safe to venture that this is a behavior modification or enhancement course that is being taught. The main goal is Safety in what you do and all that we do, not only at work, but at home and play as well.
