ABOUT JACQUELYN WOODALL

I was born and raised in Chicago in Catholic Schools. I went to college at The Citadel where I had a Marine Corps Contract. I graduated in 2008 with my Bachelors.I decided to remain in the Charleston area where I worked at Mt. Pleasant Police Department. A year after being on patrol, I was selected for the Traffic Unit where I remained for 3 years. I became a certified Accident Reconstructionist. I also became certified as a Traffic Saftey Officer for the State of South Carolina, along with becoming a certified Drug Recognition Expert and was on the HEAT Team. I served as a member of the Negotiator Team while at MPPD. After serving at MPPD for 4 years I transferred to Charleston County Sheriff\'s Office to further my career. I started on Patrol. I was then selected for the Traffic Unit. While in traffic I was the deputy on the Target Zero Grant. I then served as the recruiter for Charleston County Sheriff\'s Office for several years followed by being a School Resource Officer. I was promoted to Sergeant and supervised a patrol squad before transferring to in the Training Unit. I then worked in court security and civil process where I was promoted to Lieutenant. Currently I supervise the Community Affairs Unit where I am responsible for School Resource Officers, Recruiting and Retention, Community events, outreach and meetings as well as off duty services. I serve as a member of CNT (negotiations team) as well as remaining a certified DRE. I am also on the peer support team and commander of the civil disturbance team. I work in the Emergency Operations Center and have assisted with managing the agency social media accounts and serving as the Public Information Officer.
