ABOUT JACQUE LONG

I am an ambitious senior at Indiana University seeking a post-graduate position, striving to apply my valuable skills of influence, adaptability, and, initiative to advance my abilities further in the Marketing and Recruiting/Staffing industries. Influence: As a dancer for more than six years, I have participated in and choreographed dances for many showcases. I am currently working on choreographing four to six counts of eight, having fellow members audition for my piece. I encourage others to show me their unique dance qualities, allowing them to get comfortable with my choreography. I know how anxious one can feel during an audition; therefore, I want to give my dancers the ability to explore their creative processes.Adaptability: During my first semester of college, the Coronavirus pandemic hit, forcing the school to move to a virtual platform. I was currently working part-time, taking 15 credits, and attending dance classes when possible. Thus, giving me a fresh start, I created a weekly schedule and made daily to-do lists to complete my assignments. At the end of the semester, I earned a grade point average of 4.0. I was able to adapt to the harsh circumstances and acquire high accomplished grades. Initiative: In almost every aspect of my life, I initiate leadership qualities; I plan to stand up and get things done wherever needed. Whether I\'m leading a book club or positioned as maid-of-honor at my sister’s wedding, I strive to help others complete tasks. It is essential to understand that sometimes people require assistance but aren’t willing to speak up. Therefore, I have confided in myself to be the one who takes the initiative opportunity when it arises.As an undergraduate Management major, I require influence, adaptability, and initiative to better communicate and collaborate with my peers and coworkers.
