Over a decade ago, I left Big Law and co-founded Markery Law, a boutique trademark law firm. I help entrepreneurs and high-growth companies, including small cap and private equity backed companies, strategically build and protect their brands, secure their trademark rights, ensure enforceability across jurisdictions, and increase value by focusing on business practical solutions and client focused services. With 25+ years of experience advising companies at every stage—from startup to exit—I work closely with legal teams, founders, and investors to identify trademark risks early, strengthen portfolios, and position IP as a strategic asset during growth and M&A. I have extensive experience in global brand management including global trademark prosecution and enforcement, copyright, advertising and promotions, and anti-counterfeiting. Counseling on business transactions particularly including negotiating and drafting licensing agreements, promotional and marketing agreements, and new media, technology and e-commerce agreements. My passion is helping agile companies leverage their intellectual property not just as protection—but as tools for growth, valuation, and long-term brand equity.
