ABOUT JACQUELINE KASKEL
I have loved storytelling since I started sneaking into my father’s office to draft chapters on his desktop computer when I was just a few years old. I later discovered music as a method of storytelling, inspiring me to attend a performing arts high school and train in the Palm Beach Opera Studio. When I started college, I split my time between music and literature. I picked up creative writing again, joined the Yale Daily News—first as a Staff Reporter and later as an Editor—and filled my schedule with literature courses. In the evenings, I sang in the Yale Schola Cantorum and performed in student-run operas with the Opera Theatre of Yale College. I am currently the Company Manager at Palm Beach Opera, where I manage the daily schedule and logistics for the Artistic Department. On the side, I work as a Freelance Writer for LitCharts, analyzing literary devices in stories and incorporating them into literature guides for millions of readers. In the future, I hope to forge my own path in the fine arts world, promoting contemporary storytellers and bringing opera back to cultural forefront.
