About Jacqueline Jacobs Tynan

Jacqueline Jacobs Tynan, PsyD, is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in therapy and assessment for individuals, parents, families, and children at Birch Psychology. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Tulane University and both her Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology from the University of Denver’s Graduate School of Professional Psychology (GSPP). Dr. Tynan received specialized training in Infant Mental Health during her pre-doctoral internship with the Right Start for Infant Mental Health team and completed a postdoctoral fellowship through the Harris Fellowship in Perinatal, Infant and Early Childhood at CU Anschutz.Dr. Tynan is passionate about teaching, training, and workforce development. She currently serves as adjunct faculty at the University of Denver where she teachers and mentors graduate students in psychology. In addition, she, alongside her partners at the University of Denver, Colorado Department of Public Health (CDPHE), the Behavioral Health Administration (BHA), and the Colorado Perinatal Mental Health Project (COMHP), created and launched Connecting the Dots: a free, foundational training in perinatal substance use disorders, designed for any provider working with moms, parents/caregivers, or families impacted by substance misuse. She also currently serves as training faculty at Postpartum Support International (PSI).
