Jacqueline Jacobs, M.A, is a clinical psychology doctoral student within the University of Denver’s Graduate School of Professional Psychology. She is currently completing her pre-doctoral internship at the University of Denver consortium on the Right Start for Infant Mental Health team. There, she provides services for children ages birth to five years, their parents, and pregnant individuals. Her research interest include intergenerational transmission of trauma, parent-child relationships, early-childhood adversity, and perinatal substance use. She and her team recently launched a free, foundational training in perinatal substance use disorders, which is designed for any provider working with moms or families impacted by substance misuse called Connecting the Dots
