About Jacqueline C. Romero

I am a partner in the White-Collar, Investigations, and Securities Enforcement and Litigation team at the BakerHostetler law firm. My practice focuses on high stakes government and internal investigations, regulatory enforcement matters, federal and state criminal and civil investigations, crisis management, and complex civil litigation and appeals. As the former United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and a former Assistant United States Attorney, I led investigations and prosecutions across a broad spectrum of white collar offenses, with a particular focus on False Claims Act and Anti-Kickback Statute matters, procurement fraud, and civil rights violations. Over the course of nearly 20 years in these roles—and more than 25 years in federal government service—I developed deep expertise in the healthcare, banking, manufacturing, higher education, and government contracting sectors, among others. Today, I advise and represent corporate and individual clients facing government enforcement actions and related civil proceedings.
