About Jacqueline Barney
I am currently an Associate Systems Engineer at L3Harris started college as a Biochemistry major. In my freshman year when walking to my general chemistry lecture, I would always cut through the engineering building and always look at the walls that had posters about engineering causing my interest to grow.During my second semester in college, I pushed myself out of my comfort zone and joined a competition team called Hyperloop UC that competes in SpaceX\'s Hyperloop Competition. I was in the Electronics subteam working with batteries and quickly fell in love with electrical systems. That summer, I was fortunate to be competing with the team at the competition in LA. I was in awe of how dedicated all my teammates and other teams were to create the next mode of transportation. Those two weeks were what made me realize I wanted to pursue engineering.I now have a bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Technology and a minor in Robotics & Automation. I have experience in the Space & Defense industry, along with the Hyperloop industry. With those two industries, I have been able to help and improve the lives of millions through innovative solutions. My passion continues to grow every day with all of the possibilities and I am honored to be pursuing a career in Space & Defense!
