About Jacqueline Edwards
Hi, I\'m Jacq.I\'ve spent nearly 20 years building organizations and tools at the intersection of technology and social impact. Right now, I\'m focused on one of the most consequential questions of our time: how do we ensure that AI works for all of our communities, including those least represented in its development. I\'m a co-founder at the Community Centered AI Lab (CCAI Lab), bringing human insights to how AI is being deployed in education, healthcare, and social services. I also helped launch Poseidon Research, an independent AI safety lab working to make AI more transparent.Previously, I served as Executive Director of the Center for New Data, where I led a partnership with ABC News that uncovered that 1 in 5 polling locations had closed in the past decade and was reported on Good Morning America and World News Tonight. We also built data tools that help voting rights advocates visualize and fight disparities in polling access across the US. Earlier, I spent nearly a decade as COO and CEO at Medic, where I helped design, build, and scale open-source tools that are now used by frontline health workers across 15 countries. I care deeply about human dignity, democracy, and making sure the people most impacted by technology have a real voice in shaping it.
