About Jacob Murray
I am a finance student at Louisiana State University with a strong interest in the energy and midstream sectors, supported by hands-on leadership experience in investment management, operations, and organizational finance.I currently serve as President of the 1860 Investment Fund, LSU’s student-managed investment organization focused on equity research and real-world portfolio management. In this role, I oversee the strategic direction of the fund, lead analyst development, and work closely with external partners and advisors to expand the fund’s impact and long-term sustainability. Previously, I served as Vice President of External Affairs, helping grow the organization from inception and establish its external presence.Professionally, I have accepted a full-time offer with Enterprise Products following multiple internships with the company, most recently within the Unregulated Distribution group. These experiences strengthened my understanding of midstream operations, commercial decision-making, and the market dynamics that drive energy infrastructure businesses. In addition to my investment and professional experience, I held senior financial leadership roles within LSU’s Greek Life community. I served as Vice President of Finance & Administration for the Interfraternity Council, where I oversaw budgeting, financial planning, and organization-wide funding for multiple chapters. I also served as Treasurer of my fraternity, managing dues, budgets, and financial reporting—experiences that reinforced accountability, governance, and leadership at scale.I am passionate about markets, energy, and applying financial analysis to real operating businesses. I value discipline, teamwork, and mentorship, and I am excited to begin my career building long-term value in the energy industry.
