ABOUT JACOB THOMAS

As a software engineer intern at Glidewell Dental, I am assisting in the design and development of automation system solutions for dental milling machines and material handling solutions, using front end applications, databases, and control device systems. I am passionate about applying my skills and knowledge in machine learning, computer vision, and natural language processing to solve real-world problems and create value for the company and its customers.I am also a master\'s student in electrical and computer engineering at UCLA, with a focus on machine learning and bioinformatics. I am currently working on a recommendation system based on the CORD-19 dataset, which is a collection of scientific papers related to COVID-19. My goal is to use data analysis and deep learning techniques to provide relevant and useful information for researchers and healthcare professionals. I have a strong background in neural networks, fuzzy logic, signal processing, computer architecture, and VLSI, which I acquired during my bachelor\'s degree in electronics and telecommunication engineering from Mumbai University. I have also led and collaborated on several projects involving network security, IoT, web development, speech recognition, and gesture recognition. I am proficient in Python, PyTorch, Keras, TensorFlow, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and various deployment frameworks. I can communicate effectively, write coherently, and express my ideas convincingly. I am always eager to learn new things, meet new people, and explore new domains.
