I currently serve as the Director of Digital Delivery for TxDOT. In my current role, I consult and participate as a technical advisor on district project design and development. I participate in special research/assignments and serve on committees. I also direct the development of roadway design and plan preparation activities to project final PS & E. I am leading in the rollout of Open Roads Designer (ORD), the next version of Bentley software which does away with GeoPak technology and offers the capability of designing in 3D via Open Roads technology. I manage the statewide 3D roadway design training program. I am also leading the department to Digital Delivery, the use of models in construction in lieu of traditional plan sets, and towards the development of an Asset Management Digital Twin of TxDOT\'s system. I coordinate with IT to maintain and operate ProjectWise. I direct the development of preliminary project design, project schematics, design concepts, and project typical sections with districts and divisions. I facilitate, develop, interpret and implement guidelines, policies, and procedures. I represent the Department at conferences and meetings. I review and make recommendations on documents such as proposed legislation, proposed administrative rules, policies, and manual revisions. I manage the section’s PS & E portfolio and assign projects to design teams. I communicate with districts to verify that they are receiving the customer support they need in areas of 3D design support, ProjectWise support, and PS & E production tools support. I also coordinate with districts on the PS & E production service PD provides, where we produce PS & E for districts that request it.
