About Jacob Rojas
I am a proud graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech) having graduated in May 2023 with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health (BSPH). During my time at Virginia Tech, I developed a passion for improving patient outcomes through the integration of clinical care and public health. In May 2025, I began the Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL) program at the University of Virginia. Through this program I will continue to develop leadership skills to improve care coordination, implement evidence-based practices, and drive quality improvement across healthcare settings. Upon completion of this program, I will be a fully prepared and equipped Registered Nurse (RN) clinician, ready to care for patients with a wide range of acuities and disease pathologies.I am motivated by the opportunity to apply my public health background to enhance patient care, particularly for vulnerable populations, by addressing both clinical needs and broader health determinants. Upon graduation, I will be seeking opportunities in adult critical care nurse residency programs or entry-to-practice roles at tertiary medical centers. These opportunities will help me expand my clinical expertise and lay the foundation for my long-term goal of pursuing a career in advanced practice nursing.Additionally, I am passionate about research and am interested in exploring opportunities to contribute to research in nursing and public health.
