ABOUT JACOB MCCONKEY

I\'m a finance professional with a background spanning chartered accountancy, Big Four auditing, and investment management.Currently, I work at Whiterock, where my focus spans business development and credit — sourcing lending opportunities across the NI SME landscape, evaluating prospective borrowers, stress-testing financials, and presenting credit papers to the investment committee.Prior to this, I trained with EY\'s Assurance practice in Dublin, where I qualified as a Chartered Accountant. During my time there, I worked across the Banking and Capital Markets sectors, building hands-on experience with multinational clients in payments and fintech.I\'m passionate about improving access to finance for businesses across Northern Ireland, and enjoy working with the local SME community to help more founders understand their funding options.
