I am a seasoned software technology expert and leader with over 25 years of experience in research and development at Cloudflare (network security and content delivery) and NI/National Instruments (test and measurement). My core competencies include aligning corporate research and innovation programs with customer and industry needs, technology roadmapping, people management, and technology innovation. As the Director of Research at Cloudflare, I led a 20+ team of researchers (majority PhDs) to adopt emerging technologies into the company platform. The areas of work included: Post Quantum Cryptography, Internet transparency logs, Internet resilience, TCP congestion control, and AI/LLM model inference performance. As the Director of Research Development at NI, I spearheaded the long-term software innovation program, guiding multiple teams in exploring emerging software technologies and business opportunities for the company. We transformed abstract ideas into tangible solutions by prototyping product concepts that addressed customer pain points. I oversaw the implementation of cutting-edge technologies, such as cloud-based data analytics, AI-powered test workflow automation, and machine learning on the edge for autonomous vehicle test data reduction. My contributions have been instrumental in shaping NI\'s technological software landscape and driving business growth. My mission is to leverage my expertise in software development, embedded systems, programming languages, and dataflow computing to create impactful and valuable products for NI\'s customers and partners.
