I\'m a technical recruiter and indie author. But I believe my craft as a storyteller gives me an edge as a recruiter. If you\'ll indulge me waxing a little poetic, I\'ll tell you how. After that, I worked for two small but mighty talent agencies. In that time, I had the opportunity to recruit for 3 of the top 5 fastest growing companies in Utah (PCF Insurance, Just Ingredients, Pura), as well as an impressive fintech startup called LTSE (YC - 17). The past little bit I\'ve been having a lot of fun scaling technical and operational teams at an Insurance broker (Trucordia, formerly PCF Insurance).Okay, now for my Ted talk.As a technical recruiter, I spend my days listening closely. To hiring managers and their vision, their team dynamics, and gaps; to candidates and their backgrounds, what drives them, and their potential.But the magic happens when all that data begins to intersect. Because when I take those details and start putting it together, it feels an awful lot like when I\'m plotting out the narrative of a book. So whether I’m helping hire for an agile startup or helping scale technical teams at a person company — I pride myself on being more than just a skills matcher.Hiring these days is getting more and more challenging for hiring managers, and soul crushing for candidates. But when you have hiring partners that focus on the story both sides are trying to tell, hiring gets a lot more human, buy-in comes more naturally, and everyone catches the vision.
