About Jacob R. Weaver
As a judge advocate in the United States Navy, I have the honor of daily serving the men and women of our Armed Forces. In addition to my day job, I sit on the Murphy Institute for American Studies\' board of directors. I graduated cum laude from the University of Michigan Law School in May 2021. While there, I worked as a Senior Editor on the Michigan Law Review, a Contributing Editor on the Michigan Journal of Law Reform, and an Executive Editor on the Harvard Journal of Law and Public Policy Student Symposium Edition. I also wrote for the Federalist Society Student Blog and served as Treasurer of the Michigan Law Federalist Society. After law school, I clerked for Judge Charles Eskridge of the United States District for the Southern District of Texas and for Judge Edith H. Jones of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. My publications have appeared in various outlets including the Michigan Law Review, the Michigan Journal of Law Reform\'s online forum Caveat, the Wall Street Journal, the Detroit News, the FedSoc Blog, CAAFlog, The Daily Signal, and Michigan Capitol Confidential.
