ABOUT JACOB JAKE PRZYBYLA
My name is Jake Przybyla and I am a graduate with two degrees from the college of Natural Science at Michigan State University. For the past 10 years, I have worked in the Biotech industry for a Food and Animal safety company focusing on immunological detection of toxins, allergens, and drug residues in the global food supply.Starting my career in quality control, I went above and beyond what was required and was asked to move to our Manufacturability Support department within my first year. Within 2 years of that, I was asked to move into the role of Chemistry Supervisor for the Dairy Antibiotics department. I then transitioned to the Reveal Chemistry Supervisor where I was responsible for 17 chemists focusing on Mycotoxin and Allergen Lateral Flow Assays. Most recently, I have moved out of the manufacturing chemistry side of and have stepped into the world of Research and Development as a Research Chemist for our Immunodiagnostics department, focusing on the development of new Food Allergen detection methods.I am an ambitious person with a strong work ethic who strives to go above and beyond what is requested of me. I am extremely detail oriented and plan out my work and next steps, as well as backup plans. I enjoy being in leadership/mentor roles and love to teach my team about their roles and the chemistry behind it all.
