ABOUT JACOB MOORE

Having graduated from Swansea University after 3 years of studying Mathematics, I joined General Electric (GE Capital) on a 12 month internship. My role, as Intern, was to support the Credit Risk team within the Equipment Finance business. Following the completion of the 12 month internship I was afforded the opportunity to extend my employment, remaining with the team as the Vendor Risk Analyst. After a change in business strategy, the chance to move in to the Property Industry presented itself where I enjoyed applying my knowledge and skill set as a Graduate Surveyor at GVA. Following my time in the Property Industry I secured employment within the Professional Services Industry where I can apply skills and experiences gained since leaving University. I secured a role with Deloitte working out of their Cardiff office within the Quality & Risk Operations department.A change of circumstances led to a move to London where I joined Funding Circle as a member of the Financial Operations team. The core responsibilities of the role involved account reconciliations and I was fortunate enough to work with the teams across Central Europe, the US and also in the UK where the company is regulated by the FCA.In November 2020 I joined BDO as an Audit Trainee where I am excited to be further developing my skill set in a new industry. I will also be working towards an ACA qualification.
