Coordinate closely with procurement transplant coordinators -Set up transpertaion for local recovery teams -Arrange transportaion and deliver kidneys that are placed with local transplant centers -Ensure operating room staff is educated and answer any questions regarding organ recovery -Ability to cannulate kidneys to be placed on a Oragn Recovery Syatem Pump - Monitor perfusion of kidneys on pump - Experience with iTransplant, DonorNet, and TransNet-Working knowledge of packaging organs per OPTN policy - Knowledge of back table set up for Paragonix Sherpapak -Knowledge of proper procedure to discard organs or placeing organs for research-Scrub organ recovery cases, knowledge of supplies and instrumentation needed for recovery -Ability to assist recvoery teams during organ recovery both thoracic and abdominal -Able to close donor and assist with post recovery care of the donor- proficient in processing and preparing frozen section biopsies of Liver and Kidney tissue using a cryostat -upload slides to Specialist Direct using a Grundium Microscope for review by a pathologist
