About Jacob Matlock

I am a highly motivated undergraduate student at the University of Oregon. I am currently majoring in Sociology and minoring in Legal studies and Criminology. After graduating from UO, I want to enter the social work field, hopefully being able to work for the Department of Human Services and, specifically, Child Protection Services. I am a fast learner and work well in high-pressure situations, and I look forward to any potential internships or professional opportunities that come my way.

   The treatment team aide position at Jasper Mountian involves working hands-on in making a difference in the lives of young abused/emotionally disturbed children (ages 4-13). The Mental Health Treatment Member works as part of a team to directly supervise children in the agency\'s two residential and academic treatment programs. One of the primary duties of the Children\'s Mental Health Treatment Team Member is to show the children that we serve that there are adults out there who are safe. Duties for this position also include assisting in maintaining the structure and treatment milieu for the children in agency residential and academic treatment programs, providing verbal or physical interventions to ensure the safety of the children, Administering medications to children in the programs, and other duties as assigned.
