About Jacob Markow

I am a Marketing/SEO and Development Operations professional who wants to make things happen. What that means for you is I am the guy that wants the challenging project, the guy who wants to be your pinch hitter, your go to man. What’s more is I truly do believe I can be those things for you, and here’s how. My extensive experience in project management at college and outside of college has helped bring projects from inception to deployment in record time. A large part of my unique value comes from having been surrounded by technology my entire life and as a result I have learned how to code in CSS and HTML in a very short time frame with little to no outside instruction. I have also in more recent years taken it upon myself to familiarize myself with SCSS, JSON, and REST. I have also learned to code in JavaScript, Deluge, and Liquid While these hard skills are part of my value, being an excellent communicator is the other half. I am able to explain complex concepts in a concise and intelligent manner without dumbing down or talking down to someone. Consequently, I am not only good at being, but -enjoy- being, the conduit between the engineering side of a company, and the marketing/sales side of a company. I’ve always thought that the person and the work should speak for themselves, so should you choose, I would like to speak for myself as well.

   At CLn I am responsible for handling the communication and systems synchronization between the supply chain, sales, and marketing. This has required me to update numerous systems and learn numerous coding languages. I have learned the coding languages SCSS, JavaScript, Deluge, Liquid, and the data storage markup JSON in 1 year.My responsibilities and accomplishments include: Rebuilt the Sampling Automation system, a custom built tool that CLn uses for sending samples to doctors on a specific cadence based on engagement level in 6 weeks which a different firm quoted 3 months for. Added significant additional features and robust functionalityto the Sampling system that allows automatic cross referencing of products to physician specialties and engagement levels. Redesigned and implemented connection between Shopify and Zoho CRM for Sampling Automation and account creation, reducing errors per month from 1500 each month down to 500. Updated automatic email syntax coding to show state for sales team inquiries, improving efficiency and decreasing workload. Collaborated with sales manager and marketing manager to update email journey in Zoho Marketing automation to log engagement in ZOHO Crm. Created projections system in google sheets to project the sample allotment, improving inventory control and reducing overages. Developed a custom automatic BOGO coupon system to create coupons for customers who engage through Klaviyo using Klaviyo and shopify api calls. Updated connections between various systems and Google analytics to correct tracking errors. Designed and executed automatic Bundle system for Shopify automated with Zapier allowing bundles to be turned on and off automatically. Created webinar landing page in Shopify automated with Zapier that is updated when information is entered, reducing sales team workload.
