About Jacob Little

I’m a pediatric nephrologist and epidemiologist with experience in drug safety, regulatory science, and clinical development. I currently serve as Medical Director, Global Safety Lead at Takeda, where I guide safety analysis and strategy for innovative therapies.Previously, I worked at the FDA as a Clinical Reviewer where I evaluated cellular and gene therapies, xenotransplantation products, and biologic devices across a wide range of indications, including nephrology, cardiology, hepatology, pulmonology, dermatology, autoimmune, and metabolic disorders. My responsibilities included oversight of INDs, IDEs, pivotal protocols, expedited pathway requests, and pediatric study plans. As a pediatrician, I am passionate about advancing child health, particularly in clinical research where pediatric patients have historically been underrepresented. I bring this perspective to my global safety work, ensuring that transformative therapies are developed and delivered with patient safety at the forefront.
