Prior to assuming the role at Merck, Dr. Kettle served as the Director of the Oncology Service Line at MU Health Care where key accomplishments included establishing a blood and marrow transplant and cellular therapy (CAR-T) program, facilitating growth of greater than 15% across ambulatory service line departments, increasing cumulative service line gross revenue by over 40%, leading integration effort of Goldschmidt Cancer Center into MU Health Care, and designing and opening mobile mammography unit.Previous roles included serving as the pharmacy manager for the Ellis Fischel Cancer Center and Ambulatory Infusion Unit at MU Health Care. Prior to moving into health care leadership positions, Dr. Kettle spent over a decade in oncology clinical practice both and the University of Missouri and the Kansas City Veterans Affairs Medical Center and maintained status as an adjunct clinical professor for the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Pharmacy.Dr. Kettle received his doctor of pharmacy degree in 2007 graduating summa cum laude from the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Pharmacy in Kansas City, Missouri. He completed a pharmacy practice residency at the Kansas City Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri, and a hematology/oncology pharmacy residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas.
