I am a securities litigator turned environmental lawyer and draw on that background to help clients understand, address and resolve their often interlinked commercial and environmental challenges. I grew up in Ann Arbor, Michigan, went to Swarthmore College, and moved to New York when I enrolled in law school at NYU. I started my legal career as a Skadden litigation associate and then became an environmental enforcement attorney for New York State and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. I have been a partner in McDermott Will & Emery’s energy practice group since August 2013. At McDermott, I represent energy and manufacturing clients in commercial and environmental litigation, and provide counseling on environmental compliance, environmental risk management, carbon finance and climate-change related topics.
