I am the eng lead for offboard reliability eval. I am in charge of Waymo’s strategy and execution for discovering and preventing software issues without the need to drive on real cars. At any given time, I’m overseeing a half-dozen projects (with 5-15 engineers and involved in each) while identifying new projects and working executives to get there projects staffed.I’m also the Tech Lead/Manager for Waymo performance simulation and eval. This is a cross functional effort spanning hardware design, low level system software/OS, simulation, cloud services, UX, and data science/analytics.
