1. Baggage Handling Project Designer

   Provided technical direction and mentorship to engineering and technical staff, applying industry standards and processes to optimize client solutions for efficiency, usability, and longevity- Conducted comprehensive engineering planning, design, and operational studies, ensuring rigorous quality assurance and review procedures for all projects- Executed detailed design work, including researching data and establishing design criteria in strict accordance to the PGDS with required standards and codes, while providing critical feedback on conveyance component mechanics and dynamics- Championed the design and value engineering of the Chicago O\'Hare Baggage Handling System (BHS) for Terminal 3 and the Global Terminal. This initiative resulted in a $24 million cost reduction and a 6-minute decrease in baggage transit time- Prepared all project documentation, including calculations, plans, specifications, cost estimates (ROM), and schedules based on the project scope- Performed inspections of completed installations to verify adherence to design, equipment specifications, and operational/safety standards- Consistently delivered high-quality services, identified opportunities to enhance methodologies and training, and recommended design modifications to mitigate system malfunctions- Generated and modified In System Times (IST’s) for large scale conveyance to reduce the time for baggage travel across multiple terminals within the BHS- Lead multiple client and municipalities presentations to elaborate on project scope, system design, and necessary deliverables for upcoming submissions.
