About Jacob Finley
I\'m Jacob Finley, a dedicated mechanical engineering student at Santa Clara University with hands-on experience in manufacturing engineering. My internship experiences at Calyxo Inc. and Roche (GenMark Diagnostics) have honed my skills in developing manufacturing processes, using SolidWorks to create precise 3D models for CNC machining and 3D printing, and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. At Calyxo, I played an important role in developing UV curing process parameters for a new contract manufacturing facility and optimizing manufacturing fixtures to enhance assembly efficiency. While at Roche I was involved in assessing design changes for the ePlex instrument refresh and working to improve product sensitivity and reliability. In addition to my technical skills in CAD, process development, and quality management systems, I thrive in leadership roles, currently coordinating intramural sports at my university, where I manage hiring, training, and scheduling for over 20 student-referees.
