About Jacob Bowers

I’m a mechanical engineer aspiring to be an expert in reliability engineering for rotating equipment. I started out at a nuclear plant where I gained some experience in RCA investigations for pumps and motors. Some challenges in this role included an investigation into a circulating water pump failure which required an in-depth review of the equipment’s entire operating history since the plant’s commissioning. From there I took on a role at Flowserve, one of the largest pump and seal OEMs globally, to gain exposure to an array of applications in both chemical plants and refineries. I’m currently supporting Marathon’s Galveston Bay Refinery complex with Flowserve and am excited to apply this experience along with my previous experiences at Arkema and Celanese Chemical plants and STP Nuclear plant to deliver creative, cost-effective solutions.
