Having worked as a contractor and having had first hand experience of unlawfully being denied holiday pay, it is astonishing that these sorts of practices are still being used to exploit contractors. It feels like now is the right time to provide contractors a platform where, collectively, everyone can share their unjust experiences so that a united voice can take these businesses to task and change can be forced.

ABOUT JACOB BELLAS
Jacob worked as a contracting Theatre Medic for the best part of a decade, seeing a huge change in the market following the 2017 legislative reforms to IR35 in the public sector. Following this, he assisted a number of UK businesses in adapting to the new reforms and helped contractors across the UK to migrate to different payroll structures in order to ensure IR35 compliance. 4 years on, as we look forward to the same reforms being rolled out in the private sector, Jacob is now the Founder and Managing Director of Maven Solutions; a business which assists UK companies to benefit from niche, complimentary accountancy service and financial advice, providing experts in the relevant fields.
