ABOUT JACLYN RYGG
If I simplified what I do way down, it’d be all about making key audiences feel good. Making employees fall in love with where they show up to work every day. Helping customers, investors and the media feel connected to the greater good my company is out to achieve. And, of course, keeping all audiences informed. But that’s the cost of entry in the world of communications, isn’t it? As the Director of Corporate Communications for Taylor Morrison, I lead the transformative internal and external communications strategy for the nation’s fifth largest homebuilder—a homebuilder that’s adored by its team members, customers, investors and the media alike. My communications philosophy in Corporate America is simple: Lead with the story. Compelling, emotional, and albeit a little tongue-in-cheek storytelling is where I thrive, and how I tell the stories people want to read. Taking the ‘corporate’ out of corporate communications and replacing it with authentic, human narratives is my mission. As a leader on a broader Brand Marketing and Communications team, I stay fluent in all facets of communications. From media relations and tempting pitches, to digestible investor relations materials, to enticing marketing messages that draw customers in—I’m a well-rounded communicator and a collaborator by nature. On a more personal note, I’m a trained storyteller and business professional with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and a MBA. As a born-and-raised Phoenician, you can find me enjoying the warm weather outside with an iced coffee and stroller full of kids in tow.
