The Bank Transition Program (BTP) scope of work to be completed by the Data and Enterprise Technology (DET) division contributed to 45% of the overall technology work required for Day 1 of Suncorp Bank Sale. Given that the main BTP success criterion was time, all other factors need to be carefully crafted and planned within this context.My remit for the initial five months was to help set up the BTP DET program and project teams and lead the completion of ideation phases with Enterprise Architects to understand the significant size and complexity of work for both the Corporate and Customer & Data Streams. I then transitioned to be a part of the BTP DET Leadership team to plan and shape the BTP DET program and project structures to form four sub-streams in early 2023 to commence Discovery phase in collaboration with ANZ technology teams. By March, I handed over the Corporate Stream to focus on leading the Insights Platforms (IP) Stream with five projects entering Delivery phase and two additional Customer Marketing projects kicking off. IP projects were delivered and achieved data and system segregation by Oct 2023. In Mar 2024, soon after provided an affirmative clearance for the Suncorp Bank Sale, BTP Tech Stream established a 5-Stage Release Plan to meet Day1 obligations. BTP DET recalibrated the leadership team with me being assigned to take over the program management of the Core Data Stream in Sep 2023 then the Customer Stream in Feb 24. Although the BTP journey has been very challenging, I’m honoured to be involved and play a key role in the BTP DET leadership team to drive the right outcomes for Suncorp. I’m also tremendously proud of my teams’ professional commitment and dedication to deliver most of Core Data and Customer assets segregation to the approved timelines and budgets.
