ABOUT JACKSON KNISLEY

I am a rising Junior in the Hutton Honors College at Indiana University’s Kelley school of business and am pursuing a major in Finance with a co-major in Business Analytics. I pride myself on being a personable communicator and team player while maintaining a fiercely competitive mindset. Throughout high school, I participated in a multitude of activities and was a member of multiple organizations that allowed me to utilize my skills as a communicator while also leading me to uncover my passion. In my time serving as 1 of 25 students on the Superintendent’s Advisory Council for my school district, I learned the value of being open to difficult conversations and was able to hone my communication skills by working closely with both my peers as well as county administrators. Being an active member of FBLA and DECA for four years not only helped me improve my presentational and public speaking skills, but also allowed me to work on my professional networking skills that lead me to make memorable and lasting relationships. However, most importantly, FBLA led me to discover my passion. Hearing different business perspectives from people of all walks of life really made me more interested in business than any other industry, and with this passion, I was able to win the State Competition for my event in my senior year.Now that I am at Indiana University, I am pursuing this passion through my studies as well as joining organizations such as the Financial Services Club and 21st Century Scholars, and in this pursuit, I am committed to making an impact on society through business.
