Monitoring every firewall rules and policies so that required modification and decommissioning can be implemented. Creating specific firewall policies In Cisco ASA allowing or denying traffic to specific servers to address the concerns discovered by the penetration testing team.Monitor and maintain the patches and upgrades required by the NINDS workstation and server systems with the help of Cylance Protect antivirus tool. Troubleshoot any related vulnerabilities reported by this tool to protect the workstations and servers. Work with the server admin team to remediate the vulnerabilities reported by the Tenable Cyber Security tool.Analyzing logs generated by the Splunk Log Monitoring tool to troubleshoot connectivity issues between different networks and interfaces. Evaluate and Identify vulnerabilities in the system configuration of NINDS IT systems, providing recommendations to management for improvement, configurations, and modifications to meet mandated security but also improve end user security, end user environment, as well as IT supportability.Work with NINDS ISSO and NIH IRT (Incident Response Team) to remediate server and workstation vulnerabilities per NIH wide periodic security scans.Work with NINDS ISSO and NIH IRT for security incidents that are reported, remediating machines, and providing reporting and information as required back to the IRT.Communicate and consult with System Administration Staff, and Desktop support staff to improve the security posture of the NINDS DIR IT environment.Provide higher level troubleshooting to support and system administration staff, both in the implementation of new systems, and the troubleshooting or upgrading of existing systems.Serve as a POC for NINDS DIR IT security, representing in NIH-wide working groups as assigned by the ISSO, to prepare for upcoming security requirements, or other security initiatives at NIH.
