ABOUT JACKSON GRANGER
I am a Senior pursuing a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Sport Leadership and Management (SLAM) at Miami University seeking a full time position upon my graduation in May of 2024. As a SLAM student, I have developed and grown my management and communication skills, particularly in the Sport Industry. I spent the past two summers at the Western and Southern Open tennis tournament in Mason, Ohio. Most recently, in the summer of 2023, I held the position of Head of Operational Logistics. In this position, I was given the opportunity to lead our signage rebranding process, a process involving working with five designers and four professional signage companies to replace over signs. I also helped manage multiple site improvement projects to ensure timely and efficient construction and renovation. This role gave me valuable experience in project management and communicating requests and expectations with external companies and professional vendors. In summer of 2022, I held the position of Operations Dispatch Intern. Over the summer, I performed various tasks that were vital to the setup for the tournament. During the tournament, I managed a team of interns and was in charge of the communication for tournament operations. This taught me valuable time management and managerial skills. Over the past couple years, I have held multiple other roles that were valuable to my professional development. During the summer of 2023, I held the position of Assistant Travel Baseball Coach, helping prepare young athletes for future success in college and beyond. While at Miami, I was extremely lucky to intern with Miami Athletics Sport and Facility Services, an opportunity that gave me incredible experience in game-day operations. Prior to attending Miami, I have been fortunate enough to work in several tennis-related jobs. At Miami, I am a member of Phi Delta Theta and held the role of President. As President, I served as head of the fraternity and collaborated with numerous organizations and companies in philanthropic, financial, and fraternal endeavors. I was formerly the VP of Scholarship. In this role, I worked diligently to put the fraternity in the best academic and scholarship shape possible by conducting grade checks, creating and organizing study tables, and dividing scholarship funds to members. I consider myself to be a hardworking and fun-loving person. In my free time I enjoy seeing friends and family, cooking, exercising, and cheering on my favorite sports teams. I am extremely excited to join a winning organization and progress in my career.
